Transverse (Crossway) position
We found out that our baby is in transverse (crossway) position in week34-35 with Dr.Bev Hewitt (ultrasound scan specialist). The report was then forwarded to my obstetrician Dr Adam Gubbay. Adam wasn't too concern at this stage as baby may still turn head down.
However if baby remains in the same position in week 37, then I will have to proceed for a C-Sec. He is unable to turn baby using a technique called 'External Cephalic Version' (ECV) because baby is not in exact breech position. It is also risky in my condition because my placenta is laying low right side of my pelvis. If he were to turn baby, placenta might move down to cervix causing "placenta previa". Adam also mentioned because it is the first child/pregnancy, my muscles are still tight, not much room to turn baby, I'd personally say "virgin: too tight"? haha :)
Now week 37-38 my baby is still in transverse position (we reckon he just loves being in this position!). Baby's feet is right on top of my cervix and we could also see the cord around his feet. This is dangerous because IF my water breaks, the cord might come out first and that would terminate oxygen for the baby. This is why I need to be in the hospital a week before my scheduled C-Sec for observation and safety.
So here I am... at St.John of God Hospital Subiaco 5-Dec'08, Friday evening... and bloody bored feeling isolated in a room with only the TV,laptop and books to keep me occupy.

my belly not so round... it looks more like a jantung (heart organ) shape. Baby's head laying upper right (just below my right ribs),spine curving upper left, bottom lower left, feet & cord on top of cervix

New Ride for the family...
It was unplanned, spontaneous decision we made on the day itself..
Gilbert's day off, fetch me from work and we decided to go for a drive and 'window shopping' for cars. I guess we got sucked in by the overly so friendly and helpful salesman Tim Higgins, and at the end of the day we thought,
"yeah why not...let's give it a shot..if approve, approve lah" ... gawd! I just realised it was the same move we made when we purchased the land & house package (our new home)! hahaha...
Here are some pics of our new ride....
ps: well at least baby gets to be comfortable whenever we go for a drive now :)

I'm pregnant and my baby bumps
Yes I am pregnant! My first pregnancy and loving it! :)
19 April'08 - it was early Saturday morning in bed with hubby...
"I think I'd like to have the test this morning"
I was not late but thought I'd just give a shot on the pregnancy test with hubby.
First line appeared then in seconds, the second line came up! OMG!! With my health history, we both were extremely shocked, surprised and happy! I was jumping up & down in excitement with the results then hubby stopped me "don't do that, you might harm the pregnancy!" hahahha so cute! :)
We had at least 3 pregnancy test to convince ourselves that we're gonna have a baby :) Even so, we wanted another confirmation from the GP (blood test) to double confirm I was pregnant! hehe...

I love my pregnant body... Enjoying every moment of it. Best part of being pregnant, you get more attention than you would as a normal person. Plus you get to dress up in all the maternity clothing! Wonderful experience ever! :)

too busy...
After creating a website of my own, I thought I would have the time to sit down and update my blog every now and then.... I guess I was wrong!
It's been ages I've been promising myself & Gilbert that I would update the blog, uploading wedding photos, videos etc... I just couldn't find the right time!
First it was our wedding, then comes the honeymoon, then returning to Perth trying to settle down. Before I could even settle down, I found out the greatest news ever... "I'm Pregnant!" then there goes the horrible morning sickness I had to go through for about 4-5months!
And just as I recovered from my morning sickness, there goes the packing, loading, unloading, unpacking into our brand new house! Bloody damn tiring. Poor Gilbert I was unable to do much cleaning or carrying stuff cos obviously me pregnant lady :)
Let me start all over again... and I will do my best to update my blog from now onwards :)

About time!
I've created my own webpage couple of months back(feb2008), but it's only now that I've finally put the initiative to update it :)
That's cos I'm too smart to know how to create something, then forget the username or the website I created my homepage! *lol* Thanks to Sarah-James who guide me through it...
So here goes... I'll do my best to upload exciting news to all you beautiful people out there and hope to see you surfing my webpage sometime..
